Toddler, 3 Other Hurt After Car Plows Into Home in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, CA (September 16, 2022) – Police arrested 26-year-old Madison Williams following a suspected DUI collision that occurred in the area of Old River Road and Taft Highway.
The KGET News reported Williams was driving a car traveling in the streets of Bakersfield early Wednesday morning. When the motorist approached the intersection of Old River Road and Taft Highway, Williams allowed his car to veer off the roadway.
Our sources indicated the vehicle plowed into an occupied house along Taft Highway. The accident took place at approximately 12:30 a.m.
3 Hospitalized After Collision at Old River Road and Taft Highway
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the family inside the residential building. Authorities confirmed a 21-month-old, and three adults all sustained injuries in the crash.
Detectives conducted an initial investigate and determined Madison Williams was drunk at the time of the collision. For this reason, police arrested and booked the suspect on on felony driving under the influence.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
