Major Accident on Interstate 580 Freeway, First Street in Livermore

LIVERMORE, Calif., (August 25, 2026) — A car accident involving three vehicles resulted in major injuries Monday on the eastbound Interstate 580 Freeway, just west of the First Street onramp in Livermore.

The incident occurred on August 24th at approximately 3:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision involved a dark blue pickup truck, a silver Jeep, and a red pickup truck.

Emergency responders, including fire and medical personnel, quickly arrived on the scene to offer assistance. At least one person from the silver Jeep was injured in the crash.

The injured parties were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the vehicles were blocking the slow lane, leading to delays as crews worked to clear the scene.
