Major Car Accident Highway 41, Ashlan Avenue in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif., (July 8, 2026) — A car accident involving multiple vehicles occurred in Fresno Wednesday night on Highway 41 near the Ashlan Avenue offramp, resulting in significant injuries and road closures.

At approximately 6:28 p.m. on July 8th, authorities responded to State Route 41 for a serious accident involving at least three vehicles. The drivers described at the scene were a black four-door vehicle, possibly a Jeep, and another unidentified vehicle. The California Highway Patrol reported a major rollover accident involving a black Toyota, which sustained severe damage.

Responding to the incident was the Fresno Police Department along with fire services, who arrived shortly after the collision was reported. Emergency personnel worked to clear the scene, with traffic initially halted and lanes blocked. By 7:28 p.m., all lanes were reported clear, and the roadway was reopened to traffic.

The extent of injuries sustained by the involved parties remains under investigation, with emergency medical teams providing necessary aid. The names and ages of those injured have not yet been released.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and urges anyone with information to come forward.
