Crash in Sonoma County on Occidental Road
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (August 16, 2023) — A major-injury car accident happened Wednesday morning at Occidental Road in Molino, just west of Highway 116 and Santa Rosa.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes of Occidental Road in Sonoma County.
The report came in around 7:47 a.m. on August 16th to 911 operators, according to the California Highway Patrol. The drivers of a grey Toyota pickup truck and a black Honda Accord were involved.
Firefighters responded and extricated at least one person trapped in a vehicle. Also, paramedics rushed one person with major injuries to a hospital. A second person with minor injuries was treated and released at the scene.
The damaged vehicles were towed from the scene.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the car accident on Occidental Road in Molina.
