Suspected DUI Driver Crashes into Two Vehicles at Intersection in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif., (May 20, 2026) — A collision involving three vehicles resulted in major injuries on Tuesday afternoon at West Belmont Ave and North Siskiyou Avenue in the Kerman area of Fresno County. The incident occurred at approximately 4:18 p.m. on May 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities say Richy Saucedo, 59, was driving a Honda CR-V north on Siskiyou Avenue when he allegedly failed to stop at a posted stop sign and crashed into an eastbound Honda Civic and then a westbound Nissan Sentra.

One vehicle reportedly wound up in a nearby field, and one person was found unresponsive in a white vehicle, sparking immediate concern for serious injuries.

Paramedics transported three people from the Civic, including a pregnant woman, to a hospital with major injuries. Richy Saucedo was also taken to the hospital with major injuries.

The collision prompted a response from local towing services, with JandS Tow and Rudolph’s Tow assisting in vehicle removal. Several units from the California Highway Patrol, as well as emergency medical services, arrived at the scene to provide aid to the injured parties. Authorities are expected to arrest him once he is released from the hospital and charge him with DUI and possibly other charges.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and the CHP is urging any witnesses to come forward with information that may aid in the investigation.
