Head-on Crash on Cabrillo Highway 1 in Las Cruces
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (August 12, 2022) — Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash on Cabrillo Highway 1 on Friday morning in the Las Cruces area of Santa Barbara County.
The crash occurred about 10:28 a.m. on August 12th, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say the drivers of a white Cadillac sedan and a white work truck were involved.
Also, the driver of the Cadillac was injured in the collision and the tires on the vehicle were heavily damaged.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the crash scene due to damage.
It’s unknown at this time what led to the collision, but it’s believed that one of the motorists veered into the path of the other one.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
