Driver Hospitalized After Head-On Collision at Shaw and Floyd Avenue Friday
Fresno, CA (January 14, 2022) – One person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of Shaw and Floyd Avenue.
The KMPH News reported a man driving a sedan attempted to pass slower traffic in the area near the town of Biola. According to the article published online, the westbound car veered into the eastbound side of the traffic lanes.
Officials said the sedan collided with an eastbound big rig. Earlier reports indicated the horrible crash took place at about 10:15 a.m. When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the sedan driver seriously injured. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Meanwhile, the truck operator appeared unharmed after the incident.
Investigators mentioned there was heavy fog, with less than 150-foot visibility, when the accident at Shaw and Floyd Avenue happened.
