Major Injury Crash on Highway 43, 8th Avenue
HANFORD, Calif. (March 14, 2022) — A major-injury crash happened Monday morning on State Route Highway 43 also known as 8th Avenue at Idaho Avenue in Hanford.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 6:36 a.m. on March 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported one vehicle allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with the other vehicle. Kings County Fire sent paramedics to the scene where they located at least one person with major injuries. They transported the person by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment of undisclosed injurie.
Tow trucks came to remove the 2014 Nissan Sentra and a gray Hyundai from the crash scene.
Investigators continue to work on the case and will determine fault for the crash. It’s unknown if any charges will be filed against the motorist who ran the stop sign or not.
