2-Vehicle Collision on Golden Chain Highway 49
El Dorado County, Calif. (Jan. 10, 2024) — A major injury crash happened Wednesday afternoon on Highway 49 and Walbrook Drive in Nashville, in El Dorado County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on Golden Chain Highway at around 1:05 p.m. on Jan. 10th, roughly 10 miles south of Placerville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the driver of a green Toyota Highlander SUV crossed the center divide on State Route 49, collided with another vehicle in the roadway and then crashed into a ditch.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to help those involved and located at least one person with major injuries. They transported the injured to a hospital and requested tow trucks to remove both damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Nashville crash on Highway 49 in El Dorado County.
