Man Found Unconscious Inside Fiery Vehicle
ALPINE, San Diego County (July 12, 2016) – At least one person sustained injuries as a result of a collision on East Interstate 8 freeway near Highway 79, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident occurred today at around 5:20 p.m.
In detail, the CHP logged a big rig and a sedan were involved in a wreck. Both vehicle were traveling on the same laneway when one from the involved automobiles rear-ended the other. The collision resulted in the sedan driver trapped inside the vehicle which was later reported ablaze.
Responding authorities placed much effort on extricating the trapped party. The driver was found unconscious and suffering in a broken leg. The unidentified patient was noted by the CHP team to have been suffering in major severity of trauma.
The cause of the crash was not disclosed at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
