3 Injured in Car Accident on W. 8th Street in LA
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 22, 2024) — Three people were injured Thursday in a collision on West 8th Street near downtown Los Angeles.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 1:56 p.m. in front of 1425 West 8th Street at Valencia Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The LAFD responded and located one person trapped in the wreckage and another person who was ejected from a vehicle.
The 28-year-old woman trapped in a vehicle was extricated and then transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old woman was in serious condition or worse and also hospitalized.
The third person had no serious injuries and declined an ambulance.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision, but it remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
