Drivers of Lexus Sedan, Ford Bronco Injured in Nicolaus Crash

SUTTER COUNTY, Calif., (August 28, 2026) — A major-injury car accident involving a car and an SUV occurred early Friday morning on Nicolaus Avenue southeast of Warren Road in Sutter County.

The incident was reported on August 28th at approximately 6:43 a.m. in front of 3469 Nicolaus Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision involved two vehicles. Both drivers sustained major injuries and were transported to Ridout Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims had a loss of consciousness, a possible right eye fracture, and hip injury.

Emergency responders, including the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office and fire department, were dispatched to the scene shortly after the collision was reported. Initial reports indicate that one of the vehicles, a white Lexus sedan, suffered a broken rear axle. The other vehicle involved was a Ford Bronco.

Investigation: CHP officers are actively investigating the circumstances of this crash. They have not yet released the names or ages of the victims. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward and provide information to assist in the investigation.
