Major Injury Car Accident at Grand Ave and Blackwell Blvd in Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif., (August 18, 2026) — A major-injury car accident involving three vehicles occurred Monday at Grand Avenue and Blackwell Boulevard in the Lakeland Village area near Lake Elsinore, Riverside County.

The incident was reported on Aug. 17th around 11:42 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision involved a black Mercedes, a white Ford, and another unidentified vehicle. The vehicles were reportedly blocking the southbound lanes of the roadway.

Emergency responders, including the Riverside County Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene. At approximately 12:02 p.m., the incident was upgraded to a major injury collision. During the response, one individual allegedly became hostile, prompting further urgency for law enforcement to expedite their arrival.

Witnesses reported a white work van, possibly a plumbing vehicle, was also involved, along with a white BMW. Efforts to clear the scene involved requesting three tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles.
