SAN CARLOS, California (July 15, 2016) — A major injury crash involving two cargo vans or shuttles took place Friday morning at Shoreway Road and Holly Street near the San Carlos Airport, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 5:22 a.m. this morning on the street that leads to the airport. The crash involved major injuries and ambulances were sent to the scene to transport those hurt to local hospitals.
There was damage to about 100 feet of chain link fence and 12 poles were down.
Traffic was backing up onto Shoreway Road as fire and police vehicles were blocking the road and some access to the airport.
The crash is under investigation by police to determine liability.
