ANDERSON, California (November 17, 2016) – A major injury collision occurred on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway Thursday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The accident involving three vehicles took place just after 6 p.m., north of Main Street off-ramp. CHP said one car overturned upon impact near the on-ramp from the Shasta Outlets.
As per the report log, a Mitsubishi Montero was found on its side in the No. 3 lane following the crash. Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to a person who suffered a broken arm in the wreck.
The seriously hurt victim was then transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
