ARROYO GRANDE, California (September 2, 2016) – A major injury collision took place on Highway 101 Friday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP received a report about a black Nissan Altima and a 3-axle water trailer which collided at about 7:53 p.m. The crash occurred on southbound Highway 101 at East El Campo Road.
As per the incident log, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department officials along with the paramedics were on scene and confirmed that at least one person was seriously injured following the wreck. The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital for further medical aid.
The dispatch did not include the name and the condition of the patient at this time.
Meanwhile, the Nissan sustained front-end damage upon impact. The accident forced the Nos 1 and 2 lanes to shut down while the No. 3 lane remained open.
Authorities will continue to investigate.
