Major Injury Traffic Collision on SR-132 Near Tracy, San Joaquin County

TRACY, Calif., (July 07, 2026) — A major injury traffic collision involving a semi-truck and other vehicles occurred Tuesday on Highway 132, just west of State Route 33 in Vernalis.

The incident was reported on July 8th at approximately 4:00 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Initial reports indicate that a white Honda Civic was involved in a collision with three other vehicles and a semi-truck. While the driver of the Honda Civic reportedly did not sustain injuries, other parties involved in the crash suffered significant injuries.

Emergency responders, including Stockton Fire Department units, were dispatched to the scene. All injured parties were transported to a regional medical facility for treatment, though the extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.

The collision resulted in a temporary closure of SR-132 in both directions to allow emergency personnel to clear the scene and facilitate the tow services necessary to remove the involved vehicles. The roadway was reopened to traffic at approximately 5:06 p.m.

The incident remains under investigation by the CHP, who are seeking any witnesses who may have further information regarding the circumstances of the crash.
