Major Injury Collision on Highway 199 in Gasquet

GASQUET, Del Norte County (June 25, 2016) – Injuries were reported as a result of a crash on Highway 199, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The accident took place on June 24 at around 8:58 p.m.

Consequently, the CHP log mentioned a GMC pickup rolled 30ft down into an embankment. The incident resulted in two parties trapped down the slope.

A “rope team” responded to the site and rescued two parties occupying the GMC. Major injuries were reported at the site but the names of the injured were withheld.

Investigation is underway.
