Major Injury Collision on Ridge Road in Sutter Creek, Amador County

AMADOR, Calif., (Sept. 13, 2026) — A major injury collision involving two vehicles occurred Sunday night on Ridge Road in the Sutter Creek area of Amador County.
The incident took place at approximately 6:36 p.m. on Sept. 13th at 12800 Ridge Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision, initially reported as a minor incident, was later escalated to a major injury traffic collision.
Reports indicate that the incident involved two vehicles. A parent of one of the injured juveniles reportedly transported the child to a hospital prior to emergency responders’ arrival. Additionally, another juvenile and a parent were present at the scene when authorities arrived.
Emergency units were swiftly dispatched and arrived on the scene shortly before 7:00 p.m. The CHP has not released specific details regarding the makes and models of the vehicles involved in this incident.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision and are urging any witnesses to come forward with information that may assist in their inquiries.
