Major Injury Corcoran Crash on Highway 43 and Santa Fe Avenue

CORCORAN, Calif., (Sept. 24, 2026) — A traffic collision involving two vehicles resulted in major injuries Thursday afternoon on Highway 43 at Santa Fe Avenue in Corcoran.

The incident was reported on Sept. 23rd at approximately 3:13 PM, when authorities received notification of the collision. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) categorized the incident as a collision with a major injury.

Emergency responders, including units from the Tulare County Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene. One individual reportedly went in and out of consciousness, prompting the consideration of a life-flight, which was later canceled. Despite the lack of visible injuries, the severity of the condition led to significant concern for the victim’s well-being.

Traffic was temporarily disrupted as fire personnel blocked the number one lane, allowing vehicles to bypass the scene using the number two lane. Double D Towing was called to assist with the removal of the involved vehicles.

The Visalia Police Department, in conjunction with CHP, is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the collision. Witnesses or those with information about the incident are urged to contact local authorities.
