At Least 1 Seriously Hurt after Racing Car Hits Another Vehicle
GILROY, California (May 17, 2016) – At least one was seriously injured in a 2-vehicle collision on southbound Highway 101 at Buena Vista Avenue Tuesday evening, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. (map)
As per CHP, a driver of a small black car was reportedly racing when the motorist crashed into a blue colored vehicle about 7:25 p.m.
The blue vehicle rolled off the embankment following the crash.
According to the incident log, a person was ejected from one of the vehicles involved and landed in the No. 2 lane. The dispatch then reported that a 44-year-old man was found with deep laceration to his head and also complaining of pain to his shoulder.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Authorities will continue to investigate the accident.
