SACRAMENTO, California (February 6, 2017) – A major injury collision took place on northbound Highway 99 Monday evening, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The accident involving two vehicles occurred about 6:08 p.m., just north of 12th Avenue off-ramp. At least one person was confirmed to have been seriously hurt upon impact.
As per the report log, Sacramento Fire Department personnel along with the paramedics responded to the scene and transported two people to Sutter Medical Center for treatment. Their names and condition at this time were not immediately known.
Meanwhile CHP mentioned in the dispatch that a separate traffic incident, described as a non-injury hit-and-run, happened and involved the Sacramento Police Department. Authorities are still investigating.
