Major Injury Crash on Highway 4, at Milton Road Near Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. (August 8, 2025) — A 38-year-old Los Banos man died Friday in a crash on Highway 4 at Milton Road, just east of Stockton, California.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 11:57 a.m. on August 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The drivers of a Jeep Compass, a 2000 Ford pickup truck, and a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee were involved.
CHP officials reported that three vehicles collided and were blocking the intersection. The Los Banos man was behind the wheel of a Jeep Compass traveling north on Milton Road. The vehicle reportedly entered the intersection without yielding to oncoming traffic, and it was hit by the Grand Cherokee and the pickup truck.
CHP dispatchers received an iPhone notification alerting them to the collision and sent Stanislaus County Fire paramedics to the scene. Upon arrival, they located one person trapped inside a vehicle with major injuries.
The Los Banos man suffered fatal injuries and at least one person was taken to a hospital, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
