GENEVRA, California (May 30, 2015) — A driver in red Ford Escort veered across the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway into opposing traffic on the southbound side where it struck a second driver in a silver vehicle near Hahn Road, just south of Williams in Colusa County, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involved major injuries and was reported about 1:17 p.m. Paramedics responded to help those who were hurt including one driver who was trapped in a car. At least one was airlifted to hospital. A total of three people were transported to either Colusa County Medical Center or Vacaville Kaiser Hospital. The red car landed sideways in the freeway.
Police issued a SigAlert and are investigating the cause of the crash to determine liability.
