Serious Rollover Crash Closes Manning Ave Near San Mateo; LifeFlight Responds
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 16, 2025) — A serious two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning shut down West Manning Avenue just east of San Mateo Avenue in the Tranquility area of Fresno County.
At least one person suffered major injuries, prompting a response by emergency air support.
The collision occurred around 6:00 a.m. and involved one vehicle that overturned off the roadway, landing on its roof. According to California Highway Patrol logs, at least one person was found lying on the ground outside a vehicle and another person was yelling for help. A LifeFlight medical helicopter arrived shortly before 6:40 a.m., and Cal Fire, EMS, and CHP units responded to the scene.
Authorities closed the roadway in both directions to allow for emergency operations. Two tow trucks were requested to clear the damaged vehicles.
The condition of those involved has not yet been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
