Major Injury DUI Crash on State Route 67 in Lakeside, San Diego County

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif., (June 12, 2026) — A crash involving a suspected DUI driver resulted in major injuries late Thursday night on State Route 67 in the Lakeside area of San Diego County.

The incident occurred on June 11th around 10:58 p.m. in the area between 14400-14445 SR-67, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision involved two vehicles, one of which, a white 2019 Mercedes GLC 300, reportedly blocked both lanes of traffic after overturning on its side. The airbags had deployed, and nearby good Samaritans assisted in extracting people from the vehicle.

Emergency responders, including units from the California Fire Department and San Diego Fire Medic 80, arrived on the scene shortly after being notified. Injured parties were transported to Palomar Medical Center for further treatment.

The name of the injured parties have not been released at this time. Officers suspect that alcohol may have been a contributing factor to the collision, which remains under investigation. Authorities are urging any witnesses who have additional information about the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
