FREMONT, California (April 18, 2016) — A U-Haul or similar box truck and several cars collided Monday afternoon in a major-injury crash on the southbound Interstate 680 Freeway at Mission Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
the crash took place just before noon and one person was reportedly trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters responded to help rescue someone who was trapped in the blue sedan and was unconscious.
The truck was taken for evidence tow and three other trucks were sent for the other vehicles.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and will determine liability.
