At Least 1 Seriously Hurt after 2 Cars Collide
MCFARLAND, California (August 5, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, a head-on collision resulting in major injuries occurred in the area of Highway 65 and Sherwood Avenue on Friday afternoon.
The 2-vehicle accident took place about 3:50 p.m.
CHP first logged the incident when a white colored vehicle allegedly attempted to pass another car and collided head-on with a gray sedan.
As per the report log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to at least one person who was confirmed to have been seriously injured in the crash. The victim was transported to the hospital for further medical aid and assessment.
The name and condition of the victim at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, both lanes were temporarily blocked as a result of the wreck. Authorities will continue to investigate to determine liability.
