Woman Suffered Serious Injuries in 3-Vehicle Hesperia Collision
HESPERIA, Calif. (August 14, 2024) — A woman suffered major injuries Monday morning in a 3-vehicle crash on Maple Avenue and Mauna Loa Street in Hesperia.
The injured woman was airlifted to a trauma center following the 7 a.m. collision on August 12th, near Maple Elementary School, according to Victor Valley News Group.
The drivers of a green GMC Yukon, a silver Toyota Camry, and a white Chevrolet Tahoe SUV were involved.
Police and San Bernardino County firefighters responded and located the injured woman trapped in her Toyota Camry and requiring extrication. She was freed from the car and transported to Desert Valley Hospital where she was airlifted an out-of-the-area trauma hospital. She is being treated for a fractured hip and wrist and underwent surgery.
The report did not mention if others were hurt or hospitalized.
The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station is heading up the investigation.
