As per the report logged at 1:05 p.m., a crash between a Nissan Rogue and a Honda Accord took place near Highway 1. It was not immediately known which from the involved cars was the suspect’s and the victim’s.
The CHP team mentioned the hit-and-run driver left one female party suffering in major injuries. The name of the victim was not disclosed due to coroners still working on notifying next of kin.
Further, the dispatch noted other vehicles found at the scene–a dark gray GMC, and a red vehicle. Their roles in the accident will be clear once investigation is complete.
