4-Vehicle Crash on I-580 in Livermore
LIVERMORE, Calif. (June 10, 2024) — A multi-vehicle collision involving a major injury happened Monday on the westbound Interstate 580 Freeway in Livermore.
The four-vehicle crash occurred at around 8:48 a.m. on June 10th, 2024. The vehicles collided just east of the Isabel Avenue East off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Mercedes SUV, a grey Toyota sedan, a white sedan and a purple Toyota Camry sedan collided.
Police reported one of the vehicles T-boned the grey Toyota sedan in the No. 2 lane of the I-580 Freeway, police said. The vehicles were blocking the entire freeway and the grey Toyota was facing the wrong direction in the Nos. 2 and 4 lanes after the crash.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with a major injuries, but there are no further details at this time.
Tow trucks removed several vehicles including the Mercedes SUV and the grey Toyota sedan with major side damage.
Finally, CHP investigators are working to determine fault for the collision on the 580 Freeway in Livermore.
