Major Injury Motorcycle Accident on Winding Way in Carmichael

Two-Vehicle Crash at Winding Way and Rampart Drive
SACRAMENTO, Calif., (July 2, 2026) — A major injury motorcycle accident occurred late Wednesday night on westbound Winding Way at Rampart Dr in the Carmichael area of North Sacramento.
The two-vehicle collision was reported via iPhone notification to the California Highway Patrol on July 1st at approximately 10:01 p.m., with emergency responders dispatched to the scene. A black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck sustained major front-end damage in the collision with the motorcyclist, leaving the rider with major injuries.
At this time, it’s unknown if one of the motorists made a left-hand turn into the path of the other vehicle.
Emergency services, including Valley Tox and WAP, were notified to respond to the scene. California Highway Patrol officers arrived shortly after 10:13 p.m., and the area was secured for investigation. The westbound lanes were temporarily closed to facilitate emergency response and investigation efforts.
Details regarding the injured parties, including their identities and the extent of their injuries, have not been publicly released at this time. The injured individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
