Major Injury Pedestrian Accident at Cameron Park Drive and Oxford Road

Driver Hits Pedestrian at Cameron Park Intersection
PLACERVILLE, Calif., (July 7, 2026) — A pedestrian suffered major injuries following a traffic accident involving a black sedan on Cameron Park Drive near Oxford Road west of Placerville, in El Dorado County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on July 7th around 11:53 a.m. when a black sedan reportedly collided with a pedestrian, leading to significant injuries. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after receiving notification of the collision. As reported, the northbound lanes of Cameron Park Drive were blocked due to the accident.
Victim Transported for Medical Care
Paramedics transported the injured pedestrian to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. Extreme Towing was called to the scene to assist in clearing the roadway.
Ongoing Investigation
The collision is currently under investigation by local authorities, and the California Highway Patrol has requested any witnesses to come forward to aid in their investigation.
