SAN FRANCISCO, California (December 13, 2016) —A motorcyclist suffered major injuries Tuesday morning in a collision with another motorist on the southbound US 101 Freeway, just south of the connection with the Interstate 280 Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision was reported at 6:59 a.m. this morning in the No. 3 lane in the Portola Place community. The rider was laying in the freeway lane. Paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the rider to a local hospital to be treated for major injuries. The driver of the second vehicle stopped and remained at the scene to speak with police.
Police issued a SigAlert due to traffic lanes being blocked.
