Cyclist Seriously Injured in Collision with Vehicle in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 30, 2026) – A person riding a bicycle was seriously injured Wednesday in San Jose after a car accident at King Road and McKee Road, police said.

The collision, which happened around 3:50 p.m.on July 29th, resulted in major injuries, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Paramedics responded to the busy intersection and rushed the injured bicyclist to a local hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, the driver involved in the accident stopped and cooperated with authorities at the scene.

The San Jose intersection has bicycle lanes in all directions and is controlled by traffic lights including permissive left-turn signals. The cause of the crash remains unreported.

Detectives ordered both directions of King and McKee roads closed due to the accident and investigation.
