Fresno, CA (August 8, 2021) – Police arrested 19-year-old Malakeh Ghaleb Jaber in relation with a deadly DUI car crash in the area of Chestnut and Dearing Avenue on August 7, Saturday.

According to ABC30 News, the teenager was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling in the streets of Fresno. The catastrophic incident happened as the car drove through the intersection of Chestnut and Dearing.

Passenger Killed, Several Hurt in Fresno DUI Crash [August 7]

Rescue teams arrived at the site shortly after 11 p.m. The article published online confirmed one male passenger succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, three other passengers reportedly sustained moderate to major trauma. Multiple ambulances responded to the site, then transported three patients to the hospital. Additional details on the victims have not been revealed thus far.

Investigators said Malakeh Jaber showed signs of intoxication after the crash. After officers received the toxicology results, they arrested the 19-year-old driver for driving under the influence.
