5 Hospitalized After Head-on Malibu Car Accident
MALIBU, Calif. (August 6, 2018) – Five people were injured Sunday night in a head-on crash on Malibu Canyon Road in an unincorporated area near Malibu, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place about 8 p.m. on Sunday near Piuma Road, the CHP said.
The police report stated that a driver in a Ford Mustang was reportedly driving recklessly prior to colliding with a Kia in the head-on collision.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene where they treated five people, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. At least one of the injured was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, it appears that the driver in the Ford Mustang could be responsible for this crash. A full investigation into the matter is underway by police to determine who is at fault.
