4 Injured in Malibu Crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Rambla Pacifico Street
MALIBU, CA (March 25, 2023) – Several were hospitalized after a crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Rambla Pacifico Street in Malibu.
According to the FOX 11 News and My News LA, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on March 25 at around 1:45 p.m.
The sheriff’s department said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Malibu. The incident happened when a driver making a left turn collided with another.
Two more cars became involved in the process. The vehicles crashed on Pacific Coast Highway at the intersection with Rambla Pacifico Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed at least one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
A total of four people from the first two cars that collided ended up hurt as a result of the collision. An air ambulance flew two victims to a trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
A ground ambulance rushed the other two patients to a hospital for further aid. The reports did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, deputies forced Pacific Coast Highway to shut down at Rambla Pacifico for more than two hours following the wreck. The cause of the Malibu crash is still under investigation.
