2 Injured in Car Accident on PCH in Malibu Near Duke’s Restaurant

MALIBU, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2024) — Two people were injured Thursday night in a Malibu crash on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in front of Duke’s restaurant at Las Flores Canyon Road.

The 3-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 11th, according to ABC 7 News.

The high-speed crash left one of the vehicles overturned and mangled with its driver trapped inside. Firefighters responded and used heavy equipment to extricate the person from the wrecked vehicle.

Paramedics then transported one person with minor injuries by ambulance to a hospital and another with major injuries was airlifted to a trauma center.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine the cause of the Malibu crash on PCH, but early indications are that speed could have been a factor.
