Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near Via Escondido
Malibu, CA (June 4, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred on Pacific Coast Highway early Saturday.
According to KTLA News, a vehicle struck a male party in the 27000 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The crash took place in the area near Via Escondido at about 12:45 a.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu
Earlier reports indicated the pedestrian sustained severe injuries as a result of the accident. Due to the serious condition of the victim, paramedics rushed the man to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The patient later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the article published online mentioned the driver involved in the horrible crash fled the scene. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect.
