High-Speed, Hit-and-Run Collision on PCH in Malibu

MALIBU, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2024) — A hit-and-run crash involving four vehicles on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu happened Thursday night near Big Rock Drive.

A driver traveling southbound on PCH at speeds above 100 mph reportedly crashed into three other motorists at around 6:40 p.m. on Jan. 4th, according to the Orange County Register.

The suspect’s vehicle was abandoned at the scene and he reportedly fled on foot into the nearby hillside, the report said.

The violent crash caused the engine block from one of the vehicles to be ejected and it landed on the other side of the road.

Furthermore, paramedics responded and transported at least one person with injuries to a hospital, but their condition was not released.

Meanwhile, the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station sent deputies to the crash scene to help those involved and search for the suspect on the hillside, according to KCAL 5 News.

Finally, investigators are working on the Pacific Coast Highway crash in Malibu and continue to search for the suspect.
