Scooter Rider Injured in Malibu Crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Heathercliff

MALIBU, CA (July 23, 2022) – A scooter rider was hospitalized after a crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Heathercliff Road in Malibu.

According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:52 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said a man riding a scooter and a vehicle collided in Malibu. The two crashed on Pacific Coast Highway at Heathercliff Road.

The incident happened as the driver of a parked vehicle pulled out in front of the rider.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim hurt. The patient ended up with bumps and scrapes as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the rider to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, deputies added that the other motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck. The cause of the Malibu crash is still under investigation.

Officers forced the No. 1 eastbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway to shut down at Heathercliff after the incident.
