1 Seriously Injured in Malibu Crash on Pacific Coast Highway Near Thornhill Broome
MALIBU, CA (September 18, 2021) – A crash seriously injured at least one person on Pacific Coast Highway near Thornhill Broome Beach in Malibu.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 12 p.m.
CHP determined that four vehicles collided in Malibu. They crashed for an unknown reason on northbound Pacific Coast Highway near Thornhill Broome Beach.
Multiple Cars Collide
The incident log described the three of the cars involved as a white Tesla SUV, a silver Acura RDX and a white Honda CR-V. The report added that the Acura was sideswiped and ended up with left side damage.
The Tesla obtained moderate left rear damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway to shut down near Thornhill Broome following the wreck. The cause of the Malibu crash is still under investigation.
