Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries in Crash with SUV

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (August 7, 2023) —  A motorcycle rider was injured in an accident involving an SUV Monday morning at the state Route 203 on ramp to US Highway 395.

The two-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes about 10:33 a.m. on August 7th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A driver in an SUV collided with the motorcyclist due to unknown circumstances.

Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash and transported the injured person to Lee Vining Airport to be airlifted to a trauma center.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
