Man, 25, Killed in Delano Pedestrian Accident on Glenwood Street

Driver Hits Young Man Early Wednesday in Delano

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (July 9, 2026) — A 25-year-old man died early Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident on Glenwood Street in Delano.

According to the Delano Police Department it happened around 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, in the 2100 block of Glenwood Street.

A driver reportedly traveling northbound on Glenwood Street struck the young man as he was reportedly crossing the roadway.

The victim reportedly suffered major injuries and was hospitalized, but he later died from his injuries.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old woman driving the vehicle stopped and cooperated with investigators.

Finally, the cause of the crash remains under investigation and it’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors.
