DEVORE (April 12, 2016)- According to the San Bernardino Coroner, a 47-year-old Los Angeles man suffered fatal injuries in an accident Sunday afternoon at the Glen Helen Speedway.
The incident took place at 2:45 p.m. during an off-road motorcycle race where the victim identified as Gus Duarte was struck by a motorcyclist.
Duarte was quickly taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he did not survive his injuries and succumbed to his injuries less than an hour later.
There were no details provided regarding the condition of the motorcyclist and whether or not the rider suffered injuries.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation by the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.
