At 3:38 p.m., the victims who both had bicycles but may or may not have been riding them were severely injured by a Toyota Tacoma which had been heading northbound.
The victims, a man, 47, and a woman, 48, were rushed to Community Regional Medical Center after they were found in the brush off the side of the road.
Per the Fresno Bee, the driver of the Tacoma, a 28-year-old man, stayed at the scene and was cooperative with authorities as they questioned him about the incident.
Both parties are expected to survive despite the severity of their injuries.
