Man Struck by Vehicle Near Westfield North County Mall
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2024) — A 55-year-old man died early Wednesday in an Escondido pedestrian accident on Via Rancho Parkway.
The traffic accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 6th along Via Rancho Parkway near the Westfield Mall, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The man was hit by a motorist while crossing Via Rancho Parkway and the driver stopped and spoke with investigators.
Bystanders performed CPR on the victim until police arrived, but unfortunately he did not survive. He died due to severe injuries at the scene.
Authorities do not suspect drugs nor alcohol were factors in the collision.
Finally, the name of the man who died will be released after relatives are notified.
