FRESNO, California (April 12, 2016) – A man was hospitalized and listed in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle at First Street and Olive Avenue Tuesday morning, according to ABC 30.
The accident happened at around 11:30 a.m.
Preliminary report stated that a 56-year-old man attempted to cross the street when he was suddenly hit by an oncoming 1996 Toyota Corolla.
The force from the impact was significant, resulting in the man lying on the pavement and suffering in a severe head trauma, as mentioned in the article.
A responding paramedic team immediately transported the man to Community Regional Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, 64-year-old female motorist of the Toyota stopped upon collision. She cooperated with the authorities at the scene.
