Man, 70, Fatally Struck by Drunk Driver at Fairmont and Lorca Lane
YORBA LINDA (April 11, 2016)- According to the Orange County Coroner, a deadly collision resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man Friday evening at the cross streets of Fairmont Boulevard and Lorca Lane.
The victim, Gregory Gillaspy, was struck by a pick-up truck at roughly 7:30 p.m.
He was rushed to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he did not survive his injuries.
Per CBS Los Angeles, the pickup driver identified as Jordy Guerrero, 37, was determined to have been under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. He was arrested and remained jailed at Central Men’s Jail in the city of Santa Ana.
At this time, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
